From running restaurants at 21 as a fixture of the new age London hospitality scene to moving to Hong Kong and being part of Michelin starred teams, Iona's hospitality experience sharpened her attention to detail and was a fast track in leadership, communication, HR, financial forecasting and systems planning. Client experience was paramount; curating the guests' experience from the moment they walked through the door until (and sometimes after) they left - no request too big or too small, and always solutions over problems.

At 24, upon returning from Hong Kong, Iona co-founded SAGE Flowers, London's boundary breaking, industry disrupting florist. Project managing various floral installations at once for the likes of Prada, Miu Miu, Loewe, Nike, Mercedes Benz and Claridges whilst managing a team of florists and running a profitable business cemented Iona's skillset, so much so she wrote a book on it; 'The Art of Starting; How To Build Your Creative Business from the Ground Up'. After growing SAGE from a pop up in a carpark in Peckham with no investment to a 6 figure revenue business, Iona successfully exited the business to focus on her young family.

After this, Iona joined contemporary, boundary breaking hair salon and events space SALT as COO. Here she ran all aspects of the business, from organising events with the likes of Hypebeast and Dazed to running staff wellness programmes, implementing staff training pathways and working alongside SALT's Founder + Creative Director John Paul Scott to push the salon's core pillar of inclusivity, whist hosting A-List clientele and maintaining the high end yet welcoming experience SALT has become known for. Within a year of Iona joining, the salon's revenue doubled and their client base expanded by 80%.

Throughout her hospitality experience, SAGE and SALT, community building and leadership have been Iona's strong suit; getting the best out of managers, teams, and cultivating long lasting partnerships with trailblazers of the creative industries.
